SHOW SYNOPSIS

ABOUT THE SHOW - Based on the tumultuous infatuations of Natasha Rostova and Anatole Kuragin, from a riveting section of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace, Dave Malloy’s adaptation reels the audience into a time of Russian history when world events did not seem to touch the upper class. The story invites theatre goers to revel in the high-class society of the times, placing them in the center of the action, and then devastating tåhem with Pierre’s realization that this, this could be all there is. Despite exterior forces during the Napoleonic Wars, an internal war broaches the steps of each character you meet. We invite you to fall in love with life, and reflect on your own choices, leaving judgement at the door in our very own times of war and peace.

***Note this production is recommended for audiences 13 and up***
